Record-Setting 51 Achievement Awards Given To HoCo From National Association Of Counties

Howard County has earned a record-setting 51 achievement awards from the National Association of Counties.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Howard County has received the most achievement awards given at one time to any one county in Maryland by the National Association of Counties.

The county has received a record 51 achievement awards and received the best in category award for transportation for its Oakland Mills Road Complete Streets Project.

In 2022, Howard County received a total of 43 awards, earning the fifth highest number of awards in the nation, compared to other counties.
