ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A Howard County construction project designed to repair storm drain culverts at the Brampton Parkway/Red Hill Way/Yorkshire Drive traffic circle in Ellicott City is scheduled to begin March 2, weather permitting. Culvert failures at the site have caused roadway issues and the stretch of road currently is covered with steel plates. The project should be completed by mid-March 2020.
Red Hill Way between Lauren Court and Brampton Parkway will close to thru traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day from March 2 through March 6. During the closure, motorists will follow a detour using Red Hill Way, Montgomery Road and Brampton Parkway. Signs and flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic as needed during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., as additional lane shifts can be expected.
