Restaurant, Cars, Homes Burglarized: Howard County Police Blotter

Police found three people squatting in two vacant residences, according to the Howard County Police Department.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The following is a roundup of police activity for the week in Howard County.

Commercial burglary
Laurel, 20723: La Palapa Too, 7500 block of Montpelier Road, Feb. 4 2:26 a.m.
Unknown suspect(s) entered the restaurant by breaking the front door glass. It is unclear what if anything was stolen.

Residential burglary
Columbia, 21046: 7200 block of Eden Brook Drive, Feb. 2 12:13 p.m.
An apartment complex employee reported that he observed two male suspects in a vacant apartment without permission. The suspects then fled. Nothing was reported stolen.

Theft from vehicle/vehicle break-in
Laurel, 20723: 9500 block of Baroness Court, Feb. 1-2 overnight, nothing reported stolen
Jessup, 20794: 7900 block of Dorsey Run Road, Feb. 2, catalytic converter
Columbia, 21044: 10300 block of Swift Stream Place, Feb. 2, various items
Columbia, 21046: 9600 block of Broken Land Pkwy, Feb. 3, unclear what if anything was stolen

Laurel, 20723: 9500 block of Odelton Court, Feb. 2 2:10 a.m., unclear what if anything was stolen

Residential burglary
Ellicott City, 21043: 3300 block of Hibiscus Court, Jan. 29-30
Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through a possibly unlocked front door and stole a wallet.
Columbia, 21044: 5000 block of Durham Road East, Jan. 30 1 p.m.
Police responded for a report of two suspects in a vacant residence without permission. Police arrested both suspects.
