Road Closed For Improvement Project At County Line

The Maryland State Highway Administration has crews working on MD 851 with a road closure required. The project should wrap up by April 24.

SYKESVILLE, MD — Drivers should be aware that a road improvement project stretching between the Howard County and Carroll County line at the south branch of the Patapsco River and Forsythe Road near Sykesville is underway with a road closure required.

The Maryland State Highway Administration shared that MD 851 (West Friendship Road) will be closed during overnight construction hours, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., in both directions from MD 32 to the county line.

Weather permitting, the project will wrap up by April 24.
