Road Closure To Route Drivers Around Storm Drain Project

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Drivers will need to follow a detour in Ellicott City while a road closes so crews install a new storm drain system along a portion of New Cut Road approximately half a mile north of Hillsborough Road in Ellicott City.

The project will start Monday and weather permitting, it should wrap up in early February.

County officials said that signs and flagging operations will be in place to notify people about the construction project and the corresponding road closure along New Cut Road between Hillsborough Road and College Avenue.

Traffic will follow a detour route using Hillsborough Road, Village Crest Drive and College Avenue.
