An administrator accused of sexual misconduct with a former student at Glenelg Country School has reportedly resigned.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — An administrator at Glenelg Country School has reportedly resigned following allegations that he had a relationship with a student in the early 2000s. The school issued a letter to community members that was published by multiple media outlets identifying the accused as Dr. Raymond Broderick.
At the time of the alleged activity, Broderick was a science teacher, according to ABC 2 News, which reported he was associate head of the school and head of the upper school when he resigned.
Brockerick was placed on leave last week once the former student came forward, and he resigned early this week, ABC 2 reported Thursday.

Glenelg will search for a new head of upper school and has taken steps to ensure student safety, including notifying law enforcement and Child Protective Services of the allegations; making counselors available to students; and hiring an outside firm to review any concerns of sexual misconduct at the school, according to the letter from the chairs of the board of trustees, published by WBAL.
