Snowplow Driver Dies After Being Shot Outside Ellicott City School: Police
A 37-year-old Gwynn Oak snowplow driver has died of his injuries after he was shot outside an Ellicott City school, police say.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A snowplow driver shot while in the parking lot of a Montessori school Wednesday has died from his injuries.
A reward of up to $5,000 has been offered for information in the case.
Alex Ramirez Garcia, 37, of Gwynn Oak was found with a gunshot wound outside his vehicle in the school parking lot around 8:45 a.m. Jan. 17.

He was working as a private snowplow driver, clearing the lot at the Children's Manor Montessori School on Montgomery Road. A citizen found Ramirez Garcia.
He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and died overnight, the police department reported.

Investigators said Ramirez Garcia was scheduled to clear the lot early in the morning and may have been shot hours before he was found, according to Howard County Police.
