Sprouts Farmers Market Hiring For Ellicott City Store

ELLICOTT CITY, MD - Before Sprouts market opens in Ellicott City later this year, it's hiring more than 100 workers. Among the positions available in the Ellicott City store are clerks, managers, tasting ambassadors, receiving personnel and meat cutters.

The market specializes in natural, organic and fresh foods.

Sprouts started in 2002 in Arizona and has expanded to more than 280 stores in 15 states, according to company officials. It has positioned itself as a grocer that offers "healthy living for less."

The store at St. Johns Plaza in Ellicott City is slated to open on March 14. It will be the first Sprouts in Maryland.

The company has 150 jobs to fill before the grand opening and will conduct a hiring fair on Feb. 1, according to WTOP.

Walk-in interviews will run from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 1 at Turf Valley, 2700 Turf Valley Road, Ellicott City. See jobs available at the store. Also check out positions on the Ellicott City Patch jobs board.

Sprouts will be at 9150 Baltimore National Pike in St. John's Plaza in Ellicott City in the space where Mars used to be.
