Howard County 21-Year-Old Arrested For Ocean City Stabbing, Victim In Critical Condition

A Howard County man faces charges stemming from a stabbing in Ocean City where the victim was in critical condition and underwent surgery.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A Howard County man has been arrested by Ocean City Police and charged with first- and second-degree assault, using a deadly weapon to injure another person and reckless endangerment.

Police say Henry James Trotier, 21, of Ellicott City stabbed a man in the stomach early Sunday morning near Eighth Street. The victim was flown by air ambulance to the University of Maryland shock trauma center where he was listed in critical condition and underwent surgery.

According to Ocean City Today, when police found Trotier at an area motel under a fake name, they found a push dagger with blood on it. He also had blood on his arms and shoes. A search of the hotel room turned up multiple knives, police said.
