Street Sweeping Crews Will Be Cleaning Roads In Howard County

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Howard County Department of Public Works street sweeping crews will be out and about cleaning the following areas this week, weather permitting. Sweeping operations will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The county’s street sweeping program is designed to help prevent street dirt from reaching the waterways and the Chesapeake Bay. Curbs are swept four times each year using brush sweepers and each year, approximately 1,200 tons of debris from more than 1,300 miles of curbs are removed.
