Suspect Sought In Attempted Robbery Of Howard County Jewelry Store With Fake Bomb: Police
Police seek information about a man seen on video leaving a suspected bomb outside a HoCo jewelry store with a note demanding jewelry, cash.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A man wearing a black NASA Astronaut Group 16 hooded sweatshirt, black pants and shoes left a suspicious package at the doorstep of an Ellicott City jewelry store in October.
The targeted business was Sergio's Fine Jewelers located in the 10100 block of Baltimore National Pike. Howard County police say the explosive device contained a note demanding jewelry and cash. A closer inspection shows the package was fake. The man was driving a black Mercedes-Benz sedan.
Police are offering a $1,500 reward to help identify the man.
