Suspected Shoplifter Assaults Store Employee: Howard County Police
A store employee has been assaulted by a suspected shoplifter, according to Howard County Police. A bottle of tequila was stolen however.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A suspected shoplifter assaulted a store employee after the worker tried to intervene, Howard County Police report.
The incident happened July 26 around 6:30 p.m. at a business located in the 9300 block of Baltimore National Pike, Ellicott City. An employee reported two suspects attempting to shoplift. When confronted, one suspect assaulted the employee. One bottle of tequila was stolen in the incident and no serious injures were reported, police said.

In other police news, on July 26 around 3:15 p.m., police officers saw several suspects trespassing inside an abandoned business located in the 6200 block of Washington Blvd., Elkridge, and took them into custody.
In the overnight hours of July 27-28, a suspect(s) broke into Delicias Dayana, located in the 6500 block of Old Waterloo Road, and stole the cash register, police reported.
