Suspects Assault Store Employee While Stealing Merchandise: Howard County Police
Two suspects stealing merchandise from the Ellicott City Safeway were confronted by a store employee who they assaulted then took off: HCPD.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A Safeway store employee who confronted two suspects stealing merchandise was involved in an altercation with them but escaped uninjured, police say.
The incident happened May 24 around 9:30 a.m. at the Safeway located in the 10000 block of Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City.
The store employee told Howard County Police that when he tried to stop the two suspects stealing the merchandise, one tried to assault him but didn't injure him. Both suspects took off with the merchandise, according to the police department.
