Sykesville Man Killed In Car Crash Sunday: Howard County Police

A 70-year-old Sykesville man was killed in a car crash Sunday after his Honda CRV was hit by a Ford Edge.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 70-year-old Sykesville man died Sunday at the hospital after sustaining injuries when his 2014 Honda CRV was hit by a 2019 Ford Edge.

According to the Howard County Police Department, Arthur Henry Landerman Jr. was heading southbound on Route 32 near the Carroll County line when his vehicle was hit by the Ford Edge as its driver was turning left from northbound Route 32 toward West Friendship Road. A third vehicle was hit, too, police noted.

Landerman Jr. was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and pronounced dead upon arrival. The driver of the Ford Edge, a man from Sykesville, was taken to Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries.
