Traffic To Be Impacted By Erosion Control Project Along Bonnie Branch In Howard County

An erosion reduction project along the Bonnie Branch in Howard County will start Monday. Traffic could be impacted.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Phase two of a Howard County construction project to reduce erosion along the stream banks of the Bonnie Branch across from 4607 Bonnie Branch Road in Ellicott City should start Monday.

The project will improve the stability of the stream channel and steep slopes along Bonnie Branch Road in the project area, as well as improve the water quality of the stream and the Patapsco River, officials noted. Weather permitting, the project should be completed by late February 2023.

The project is not expected to impact the general flow of vehicular traffic; however, flaggers will be in place to direct motorists during material deliveries when temporary lane closures may be needed, officials noted.
