U.S. 40 To be Resurfaced In Ellicott City
Weather permitting, the work is expected to be completed in June.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — The Maryland State Highway Administration has started to resurface US 40 at Ridge Road in Ellicott City. Crews also will be revising the line striping at this turn lane. The work will be performed through Friday morning from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day. Weather permitting, the work is expected to be completed in June.
Monday night, the two left turn lanes on westbound US 40 at Ridge Road will be closed and motorists will be detoured using St. John’s Lane. Signs have been posted in the area to alert motorists of the work. While SHA and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, drivers are reminded to stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers.
