I have a few vintage sewing machines that have been fully refurbished to operate as good as new. Many models to choose from: Singer, Universal, Bel Air, Pfaff and Kenmore. These are quite affordable, all steel alternatives to modern plastic machines... they were built at a time when the emphasis was on quality that lasts, rather than built-in obsolescence.
