Volunteers Needed To Serve On Howard County Operation Budget Review Committee
Volunteers are needed to serve on Howard County's education board operation budget review committee. The deadline to apply falls on May 15.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Volunteers are needed to serve on Howard County's board of education operation budget review committee.
The OBRC provides input and recommendations to the board regarding the school system’s operating budget, including funding priorities, new initiatives and other budget-related matters. The OBRC includes individuals appointed by community organizations and individuals appointed by board members.
OBRC meetings will be every other Wednesday from September 2023 through May 2024, except the OBRC may meet every Wednesday in January and February 2024. Meetings will be virtual from 7 to 8:30 p.m., except the first meeting will be in-person.

Committee members are expected to review budget material and attend at least half of the meetings and may designate an alternate to attend in the case of absence.
Community organizations and individuals can submit a statement of interest by May 15 to David_Clark@HCPSS.org.
