Walkway Collapses At Ellicott City Building, Officials Say

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — One person was injured when a walkway collapsed in Ellicott City, officials said. The collapse occurred at a business complex, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.

Crews said they were in the 3200 block of Corporate Court after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, working with property management.

A section of the walkway on the second floor of a building had collapsed, officials reported. Everyone was out and had been accounted for, according to authorities.

One adult suffered what were described as minor injuries.

After 2 p.m., officials said that property management was handling the situation.
