Fast Stat: This family-run store has been on Main Street for more than 27 years.

Fun fact: When Conaway is not in the store or travelling, she is manning booths at Renaissance fairs. She is also a strict vegetarian. 

On the energy of crystals: In Feng shui there is a light energy and a dark energy. What crystals do is transfer negative energy to positive energy through the rainbow…Color is pleasing to the eye therefore the rainbow is very pleasing to the eye because you see color. 

On the energy of the store: People come in here and by time they leave it’s almost like a purification thing.

Did you always think you’d own a store like this?: No. But I was always creative, even as a child. I would always collect paper, stones, leaves, whatever I could to make something out of it. The universe blessed me so that I can still play. My beads are my wealth—not money. All I want to do is buy beads so that I can create.

On being a vegetarian: My religion is my vegetarianism. That’s the highest spiritual practice you can do on this planet. If you love god, you’ve got to love all of god’s creatures.
