Woman Dies After Pickup Truck Traveling Wrong Way Hits SUV: Howard County Police

A 50-year-old woman died after a pickup traveling the wrong direction collided with the SUV she was riding in Saturday night, police say.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A fatal collision in Ellicott City claimed the life of a Nottingham woman late Saturday night.

Jung Eun Yi, 50, has been identified as the passenger in a 2020 Toyota RAV4 who was killed at around 11:45 p.m. Oct. 29. The vehicle she was in was headed west on Rogers Avenue near Route 29 when it was hit by a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling east in the westbound lane.

The driver and another passenger in the Toyota were taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. The driver and only person in the Silverado was taken to Howard County General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
