One School Closed In Ellicott City On Tuesday: HCPSS
BREAKING NEWS: One elementary school in Ellicott City is closed on Tuesday, May 29, according to HCPSS.
ELLICOTT CITY, MD — Officials say that Worthington Elementary School will be closed on Tuesday, May 29. The school does not have power, according to a statement from the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS).
All other schools and offices will open on time, and graduations will be held as planned, HCPSS reported.
Worthington Elementary School, in the 4500 block of Roundhill Drive, will be closed during school hours; in addition, all after-school and evening activities are canceled at Worthington Elementary School.

HCPSS initially announced Monday night after 9 p.m. that Worthington was without power and a decision would be made on Tuesday by 5:30 a.m. regarding its status.
