Emmitsburg-area residents can apply if they meet eligibility requirements, or pitch in with donations to help neighbors enjoy a more dignified, less stressful holiday season. 
• Ghosts of Frederick County (thecatoctinbanner.com) — Emmitsburg’s own ghost stories take center stage, from a phantom nun at the former Saint Euphemia’s School to reported spirits at Mount St. Mary’s University and the National Shrine Grotto.
