Mother, Kids Hit Crossing Street In Essex; 2 Killed: Police
Police said a mother and her children were hit crossing Eastern Boulevard at Orville Road in Essex Monday, and two children died.

ESSEX, MD — After a mother and her three children were hit Monday crossing Eastern Boulevard, police said two of the children died. The woman and another child were injured.
According to authorities, a 2008 silver BMW 128i had been headed west on Eastern Boulevard after 4 p.m. Monday when it ran into the group at the Orville Road intersection.
Jhalil Norris, 5, and Jovanni Norris, 6, of the unit block of Stemmers Run Road, were both pronounced deceased at local hospitals Monday, officials said.

The mother and her 9-year-old child were taken with life-threatening injuries to local hospitals, where officials reported Tuesday they remained in critical condition.
The driver stayed at the scene, according to police, who said the crash investigation continues.
