3-Year-Old Dead, Child Abuse Investigation Underway: Baltimore County Police
After a child died, Baltimore County investigators say they are investigating possible child abuse and await medical examiner's report.

ESSEX, MD — One week after a child was found unconscious in Essex, the boy has died at the hospital and a child abuse investigation is underway, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Cameron Anthony Blake, 3, was taken by medics from the unit block of Glenwood Road on Thursday, Jan. 19, to Franklin Square Hospital, police said. He was later transferred to the Johns Hopkins Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where he died the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 24, according to officials.
"The case became a possible child abuse investigation after hospital personnel reported the child had injuries consistent with child abuse," police said in a statement. The Baltimore County Crimes Against Children Unit is investigating.

"Someone beat him to death, literally," Adrianne Blake, the boy's mother, told WJZ. She said her 3-year-old suffered a heart attack and was revived by paramedics.
"Cam didn't deserve this...He was happy and healthy and go lucky...always curious about everything," she said in a Facebook Live video from the hospital which she said she created Monday night to solicit prayers for her son. He died approximately 12 hours later.
