• Essex VFW receives All-American honors (avenuenews.com) — Essex residents can celebrate that VFW Post 2621 on Riverside Road has earned coveted All-American status for 2025–26, recognizing its strong membership, youth programs, and community service. Commander Ronald Raab Jr. and Quartermaster Steve Bloodsworth received special honors, and neighbors are invited to stop by most afternoons to congratulate the post.
