FOUND: Woman Who Disappeared Near Middle River

Police said the woman reported missing near Middle River has been located.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police said that a woman reported missing from the Middle River area has been located. Maxine Wall-Scott, 71, has returned home safely, officials said before 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Wall-Scott had been missing since about 2 p.m., according to police.

Authorities thanked all who helped in her safe return.

PREVIOUS REPORT: A woman with cognitive ailments has disappeared from the Middle River area Wednesday. Police said she went missing around 2 p.m. and after 6 p.m. had still not been located.

Maxine Wall-Scott, 71, was at a friend's home visiting in the 900 block of Ramble Run Road at the time of her disappearance.

Police said she was left alone there for about 10 minutes, and when the other people returned, she was gone.

Wall-Scott, who is from the 8300 block of Liberty Road in the Windsor Mill area, is unfamiliar with the area in the eastern part of the county, according to authorities. When police checked her home on Liberty Road, Wall-Scott was not there.

She has neither a vehicle nor a cell phone.
