Shooting Victim Identified In Essex Murder: Police

A 25-year-old Essex man died in a shooting Friday night, officials said.

ESSEX, MD -- Police officers from Baltimore County are investigating a deadly shooting in Essex Friday night. They ask anyone with information to come forward.

Lance Dixon, 25, was found when authorities responded to a call for shots fired in the 900 block of Ashbridge Drive, according to police. Officials said he had a gunshot wound and was later pronounced deceased.

Those in the area said they heard multiple gunshots heard in the Kings Mill Apartments off Hadwick Drive, Fox 45 reported.

Authorities said that Dixon, who lived in the 900 block of Ashbridge Drive, may have argued with someone prior to the shooting, which occurred after 8 p.m., according to ABC 2 News.
