ESSEX TO WELCOME NEW YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAM

I9 Sports, the nation’s fastest growing youth sports provider, will be establishing a new franchise in the area. Sue and Rob Gallagher, sgallagher@i9sports.com, will be offering basketball, flag football, soccer, and t-ball to children ages 3 to 14. The values based program will offer both instructional and league play with a focus on fun, safety, and convenience.

The Gallaghers and i9 offer an alternative to the stressful, win at all costs leagues that have become the model for youth sports in recent years. I9 was founded on the idea that sports can teach children the skills necessary to succeed in life. Dr. Rob Gallagher, who holds a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology, was drawn to program’s focus on self-esteem. “As a psychologist and the father of four former youth athletes, I was drawn to i9 because of its focus on self-esteem and social skill development. The i9 model is based on solid science and validated child development practices.” Sue Gallagher has been a youth sports coach for over twenty years with a focus on teamwork and sportsmanship.
