CCBC Essex Concert Celebrates National Women's Month

Musician Lauren Pelon performs a unique concert, Women in Music: Someone Will Remember Us, tracing the story of women in music and performing music from around the world.

The concert celebrates music written by and for women and will be held 12:20 p.m., Friday, March 16, in the E Building Recital Hall at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd.

Crossing the boundaries of time, distance and culture, Pelon sings and plays ancient and modern instruments – some of which were traditionally played by women, some forbidden to women.
