Gas Prices Fall for the Fourth Straight Week

Some relief at the pump continues this week.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline dropped for the fourth straight week, according to the latest AAA survey. The survey showed that regular unleaded averaged $3.40 a gallon on Sunday, down 2 cents from last week yet still 61 cents more than a year ago.

In Maryland, the survey reports, the average price of regular unleaded was $3.32 a gallon on Sunday, down 4 cents from a week ago yet still 58 cents more than a year ago.

The drop in gas prices came after crude oil closed last week at $82.98 a barrel, after falling as low as $75.67—its lowest point in a year—according to AAA.
