Homicide in Essex Under Investigation: Police
A 78-year-old Essex man suffered traumatic injuries and was found deceased on his floor, according to police.
ESSEX, MD -- Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 78-year-old Essex man found deceased Wednesday in his home.
B.G. Ledford, of the unit block of Sparton Drive, suffered traumatic injuries to his upper body, police reported.
Ledford’s ex-wife went to check on him after relatives were unable to reach him, according to the report. When she went inside, she saw him lying on the floor, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

Authorities said they were called to the scene after 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
