Human Skeletal Remains Found in Essex: Police

Police said human remains were found in the woods in Essex Sunday morning.

Human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area in Essex Sunday morning, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Police said the remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification.

Officials began investigating after a body was said to have been found in the woods before 10 a.m. Sunday, police reported.

Police responded to a wooded area off of Route 702 between Eastern Avenue and Old Eastern Avenue and found human skeletal remains, according the report.

The Baltimore County Homicide Unit is investigating, and anyone with information may contact police at 410-307-2020.
