On Saturday, the boy's and girl's Indoor Track team competed at the CCBC Essex Invite. After a crazy two weeks with weather and limited practice time, the teams performed quite well. The girls finished in 8th place while the boys finished in 6th. However, due to weather again, the girls and boys 55 meter dashes were not completed which is Kenwood's strong point and cost the team overall points in the standings. Senior runner, Rachel Bauer, ran the 1600 meters coming in second place, however, bested the school record by 7 seconds. Her time of 5:48.05 solidified herself as one of Kenwood's greatest distance female athletes.
