Kenwood Indoor Track Team Shines at CCBC Essex Invite

In the first invite of the year, the Indoor Track team fought hard and came up with great results in the 14 team meet.  The girls team came in 3rd place overall while the boys came in 6th place.  Notable highlights were four school records almost fell with the boys 55, girls 55, and girls 1600 and 800 meter runs.  Rachel Bauer was less than a second from the 1600 meter record in which she currently holds while being only .27 seconds in the 800 which is currently a 30 year old record.  Point scorers included:

Boys:

Brandon Johnson- 3rd in high jump, 4th in 300, and 5th in 55

Stephen Moore- 8th in 500

Harman Kimani- 7th in 800

4x200 Team- 5th (Demetrius Paraschis, Selvin Castro, Quentin Skinner, Brandon Johnson)

4x400 Team - 3rd (Nick Stokes, Larry Chambers, Gabe Papadopoulos, Harman Kimani)

4x800 Team - 6th (Gabe Papadopoulos, Cameron Zunt, Ron Ruby, Harman Kimani)

 

Girls:

Brianna Best- 2nd in high jump, 3rd in 55, 4th in 300

Linia Sankar- 4th in 500

Darre'll Joseph- 7th in 500

Kaitlyn Jackson- 5th in shot Put

Rachel Bauer- 1st in 800, 3rd in 1600
