Firefighters Give All Clear At Riverview Nursing Home: Officials

ESSEX, MD — Nobody was injured in an incident that resulted in the evacuation of Riverview Nursing Home Sunday afternoon, according to authorities. Crews were called after an odor of burning was reported at the facility at 1:55 p.m. on Sunday, June 16.

The smell was coming from the second floor of the nursing home at 1 Eastern Boulevard, the Baltimore County Fire Department reported.

Upon investigation, officials said they found an air conditioner was malfunctioning.

By 2:15 p.m., the fire department reported crews were clearing the scene.
