Parking Lot Shooting In Middle River Under Investigation
Police said a man was shot on Carroll Island Road Monday night. He is expected to survive, authorities report.

MIDDLE RIVER, MD — A man was shot and injured on Carroll Island Road Monday night. Authorities say they believe the victim was targeted but are asking the public for information to help identify a suspect.
At 8:56 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Carroll Island Road for a report of someone shot. Officers said they found a 33-year-old man shot in the lower body who was lying in a parking lot. The suspect had left the scene, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is expected to survive his injuries, police said on Tuesday.

Officials believe the victim was targeted but continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
