Teen Killed In Middle River Shooting, 2 Others Injured: Police
Police said that a 13-year-old girl died by gunfire: BREAKING.

MIDDLE RIVER, MD - A 13-year-old girl died and two others were injured in a shooting in Middle River, police reported Tuesday morning.
The shooting happened in the 700 block of Peterson Road before midnight and may be related to an altercation that transpired earlier in the evening between two groups, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
A group was sitting behind the 7-Eleven on Compass Road when at least one suspect shot from an alley "a distance away," then left the area, according to authorities.

Iyanna Watkins, 13, was pronounced deceased at the scene, officials reported.
In addition to Watkins, police said that two men were injured by the gunfire.

One man shot in the lower body was found in the 500 block of Compass Road and taken to the hospital, while another man also shot in the lower body was taken to the hospital by a family member, police said.
While investigators believe the crime was targeted, authorities are looking into whether one person or the entire group was the target. Police said that detectives are canvassing area businesses for surveillance footage to understand the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
