This past Saturday hundreds of individuals gathered at Dundalk Heritage Park to remember and honor the HEROES of the American Steel Industry. The Heroes are the individuals who died on the job making steel to power America. A remarkable speaker was Michael. He described the deceased steelworkers as HEROES because they dedicated their lives to supporting their families, their communities and their union performing their duties in difficult work situations in the steel mills. They and all steelworkers are the heroes that made the steel to make America strong. As the memorial dedication closed, the song, Solidarity Forever, was sung to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. It ended with these words..... Solidarity forever. For the union makes us strong.
