50 States Tour Stops in Bel Air

Need a haircut? Love animals? On Tuesday, August 12th, Patrick Lomantini, master stylist and owner of a salon in Wichita, KS, will cut hair at Bel Air’s Bella Amici Salon to bring attention to and raise funds for the many wonderful animals at the Humane Society of Harford County (HSHC). On this, his fourth annual tour, Lomantini will travel to all 50 states in 50 days to give haircuts each day – all for his love and passion for saving the nation’s homeless animals.

Lomantini will start cutting hair at 10am and his last appointment will be just prior to 7pm. Make an appointment now by calling Bella Amici at 410-588-5688. During his day-long cutting extravaganza, a minimum $20 donation will be collected per haircut. Lomantini doesn’t pocket any money; he is donating 100% of all proceeds to support the programs and services at HSHC.

Dogs, cats and kittens who are looking for permanent homes will be visiting Bella Amici from 3pm until 6pm to cheer on Lomantini and support the team at Bella Amici located at 624 South Main Street on Route 924 in Bel Air. Bring your dog and participate in the “Parade Your Pooch” contest with prizes awarded in a variety of categories. Stop by the photo booth to dress up for a keepsake photo and “Smooch a Pooch” in the kissing booth for just $1!

A challenge has been issued by a supporter of the Humane Society. If we can raise $1,000 or more by the end of the day on August 12th, she will cut 10 inches from her hair and go “drastic for the dogs”! She is encouraging others to do the same. Talk to a supervisor or group leader and if your team can raise at least $1,000, convince him or her to go “drastic for the dogs” too with a new haircut.

Last year, the 50 States Tour reached new levels, not only in the amount raised, but also in the number of haircuts and the new relationships made. The 50 States Tour performed 2,525 haircuts and raised $74,525! “We couldn’t be more pleased and happy for all of the animal organizations that benefited from the event and for all of the salons that participated in hosting me and my team,” Lomantini said. “Thank you all so much in continuing to believe in our passion and dream for better animal welfare.” Follow Lomantini on his journey by visiting www.barkaid.org.
