Organizers have already set next year's 60th festival for Sunday, Sept. 12, 2027, and are encouraging residents to watch the event website for details on how to attend or participate.
   

• Virginia's Crowder Doesn't Deviate from Plan, Wins at Phoenix Bass Fishing League Event at Potomac River (anglerschannel.com) — Fallston angler Steve Allender earned a solid seventh-place finish at the Phoenix Bass Fishing League Super Tournament on the Potomac River, weighing in eight bass at 20 pounds, 3 ounces. The two-day event in Charles County drew top boaters and co-anglers from across the region, with winners now advancing toward larger regional and national championship opportunities.
