BACA: Cat of the Week

Hi friends, I'm Baca. What's a refined senior fellow like me doing at the shelter? Unfortunately, my family fell on hard times and they felt it was in my best interest to come here where I have a chance at finding a new family, preferably one with children. You see, I love kids, and I was particularly attached to a little girl, so I hope I can find another one of those. At 13 years old, I may not have lots of time left, so I intend to make the best of it and want to fill that time with lots of love and cuddles.

You should also know that I'm positive for feline immunodeficiency virus, so I should be an indoor-only cat. I can live with other cats because FIV is mainly passed from cat to cat through deep bite wounds, not casual contact such as sharing food bowls and litter boxes. My adoption fee is free, so if you can help me live out the rest of my life in comfort, come and meet me!

(The shelter is overwhelmed with cats and kittens, so we're continuing to waive adoption fees throughout August.)
