Child Saved from Drowning in Kingsville

The boy was saved by a citizen and taken to the hospital, according to reports.

A child who fell into a pool in Kingsville Saturday was rescued by a citizen, the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported.

The child had fallen into a pool in the 800 block of Karen Drive, according to the report. He nearly drowned Saturday night before someone saved him, The Baltimore Sun reported.

At 6:50 p.m., the fire company reported that it was taking the 9-year-old to Johns Hopkins for an evaluation.

As first responders took him to Johns Hopkins, he was awake and talking, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.
