Traffic Alert: Crash on Route 40 in Joppa

A two-vehicle crash on US Route 40 in Joppa will cause delays at the start of rush hour Thursday afternoon, according to Harford County officials.

Officials with Harford County's Office of Emergency Management reported just before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday that drivers should expect delays for the next hour in the area of the collision, which occurred on Route 40 at Joppa Road.

Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the crash, said that at approximately 4 p.m., it was called to the scene, where one lane on Route 40 westbound was closed.

Emergency management reported there were delays in both directions on Route 40.
