Pedestrian Killed on Route 40 in Joppa: Police
The vehicle reportedly remained at the scene in Baltimore County.
A pedestrian was killed in a crash on US Route 40 south of the Harford County line Thursday night, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.
The collision occurred in the 12400 block of Pulaski Highway, police said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m., CBS DC reported.
The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the location on Route 40, which was closed between Gunpowder Falls and Joppa Farm Road as police investigated, according to WBAL.
The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company recommended using MD Route 7/Philadelphia Road as an alternate route.
