2nd Degree Murder Charge Levied Against Gaithersburg Man In DC: Police
A Gaithersburg man is facing a murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of a D.C. man following a vehicle collision on Wednesday.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — D.C. homicide detectives charged a Gaithersburg man in connection with the fatal shooting of 33-year-old Brooklyn Michael Lynn of Southeast on Wednesday afternoon, according to a police release.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday to the 2700 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast, for the report of a traffic accident and a shootingd. Police found Lynn unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, according to the release.
D.C. Fire and EMS took Lynn to a nearby hospital, but all life-saving efforts failed and he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

Through their investigation, police determined that 44-year-old Anthony Williams of Gaithersburg was operating one of the vehicles involved in the collision. Although Lynn was not involved in the crash, he interacted with Williams, who shot him during the interaction, according to police.
The responding officers took Williams into custody and recovered an illegal handgun from the scene of the crash, according to the release. Police charged Williams with second degree murder while armed.
