GAITHERSBURG, MD — A father fresh off an April win from the Maryland Lottery struck gold once more this month.
Carlos, a Gaithersburg resident who works as a delivery driver, clinched a winning ticket that returned $50,000.
This is the second time that he won $50,000 off a scratch-off.
Reflecting on the shock, he told Maryland Lottery that he "couldn't believe it," noting he initially questioned whether the win was real.
He bought his first ticket at the Shell gas station at 501 Quince Orchard Road, but the second was snagged at the Lakeside Beer Wine at 9621 Lost Knife Road.
Carlos said he's hoping his luck can be extended a little more. "I’m hoping to come back next for the $2 million," he told the lotto.
The Gaithersburg dad said he intends to invest his winnings.
