Arrest Made After Man Stabbed In Face At Gaithersburg Restaurant
A man has been charged with attempted murder after police said he cut another person on the face at a Gaithersburg restaurant.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — A man has been charged with attempted murder and other crimes after police said he cut another person on the face during an argument at a Gaithersburg restaurant.
Jovani Ramos, 31, of Gaithersburg, is charged with attempted second-degree murder, assault first degree, assault second degree, and intoxicated endanger, officials said Monday.
Officers were called to the Cancun Mexican Restaurant in the 100 block of East Diamond Avenue on Dec. 26 for a report of a stabbing. An unknown male suspect and victim argued, and it escalated into a physical attack, police said.

Ramos had a knife and cut the victim on his face, a police news release said. The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ramos was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Detention Center. He is being held without bond, authorities said.
