Arrest Made In Armed Robbery At Gaithersburg Tobacco Outlet

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Laurel man has been charged in an armed robbery that happened last month at a Gaithersburg business, according to Montgomery County police.

Tameek Parker, 30, was arrested in the Nov. 8 holdup at the Tobacco and Vape Outlet store in the 8400 block of Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg.

A police news release said Parker entered the store and approached an employee. The suspect then showed a black handgun and demanded merchandise. The employee handed over the merchandise to Parker, who placed it inside a bag and drove away.

Detectives reviewed the store surveillance footage and obtained a description of the suspect, which detectives identified as Parker.

On Nov. 25, a residential search warrant was executed at Parker’s home in Laurel, where he was arrested, and evidence was recovered.

Parker was taken into custody and taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing, where he is being held without bond, police said Tuesday.
