Burglar Who Broke Into Gaithersburg Store On Surveillance: Police

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A burglar who stole property from a store in Gaithersburg was captured in a surveillance photo, which Montgomery County Police have released in hopes that the public can help identify the suspect.

Around 3:39 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, units responded to the Etchison Country Store, located at 7000 Damascus Rd., for the report of a commercial burglary. Police said that the suspect had entered the store through a second-floor window. The burglar stole property and fled before officers arrived on the scene.

Detectives ask that anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this burglary call police at 240-773-6237. A cash reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest or an indictment. Tipsters, who will remain anonymous, can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
